The Delaware Department of Transportation  announced that the I-95 Southbound on-ramp from North Jackson Street will be permanently closed beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday. August 3.

The ramp will be demolished as part of the  I-95 Restore the Corridor Wilmington Project.

As a result of the Jackson Street ramp closure and the removal in May of the 2nd Street on-ramp, motorists  will access I-95 Southbound from Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Signage will be posted for motorists. A new 2nd Street on-ramp to I-95 is scheduled to open in December 2020, weather permitting.

The new ramp construction project is being done in advance of the larger Restore the Corridor I-95 rehabilitation project slated to begin in March of 2021 and continue until the summer of 2023.
