PNC Bank will close a branch in north Wilmington.

The branch is at 4301 Concord Pike inside the Giant supermarket. The branch is a short distance away from another Concord Pike location. PNC also has a branch on Marsh Road.

Delaware, unlike some areas, has not seen a wave of branch bank closings. M&T, PNC, and WSFS and Wells Fargo  were not as aggressive as other banks in adding offices.

WSFS did close nearly a quarter of its offices with the acquisition of Philadelphia-based Beneficial. However, the bulk of the closings were outside Delaware.

More bank closings are likely in the Covid-19 era as more people move to mobile banking and have less reason to visit branches that require social distancing and/or appointments.

Delaware has actually seen branch openings in recent years,   due to expansion by Chase and Bank of America.
