The New Castle County Chamber of Commerce announced its wholly-owned subsidiary, Benefits Connection, has partnered with Aetna to introduce Aetna Funding Advantage.
The health plan will be available to County Chamber members beginning Dec. 1. Businesses and organizations with six to 100 employees are eligible to participate.
Features include
- A level funding plan with tiered rates (not age-rated like the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
- The rates are based on the wellness of a group’s employees
- Rates are usually 10-25 percent lower than ACA plan rates
- When claims are less than expected, part of the premium is returned
“The cost of healthcare continues to be a major concern for our member businesses, so, we are constantly looking for new solutions that provide lower-cost options,” stated County Chamber President Bob Chadwick. “We already offer a group product via our partnership with Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield as well as dental and vision products from other carriers. This new partnership with Aetna to provide a level funding product has the potential to provide our members with six to 100 employees significant savings.
