A Food Lion  in Seaford will be one of 50 in the chain to offer grocery pick up service next week.

The Delaware store will join locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia that will offer the option, beginning on  Oct. 14.

Food Lion is offering shoppers their first pickup at no charge.

The launch of the new  service enables Food Lion customers to order and pick up their groceries in as little as an hour.

The online service lets customers fill a virtual cart with the grocery items they need and schedule a pick-up time that works for their schedule.
