[Not a valid template]Stehl to take helm of M&T’s regional charitable affairs operations

M&T Bank announced Joe Yacyshyn, Vice President and Regional Manager of Charitable Contributions and Community Affairs, is retiring after 45 years with the bank. 

Yacyshyn began his career in 1974 as a management trainee for Wilmington Trust. During his tenure with the Bank, Yacyshyn oversaw requests for philanthropic support and volunteer activities throughout the Delaware region. Within the community, Yacyshyn served on the board of directors for United Way of Delaware, The Salvation Army, Delaware Military Academy, The Partnership, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, and Ministry of Caring.  Shortly before his retirement, Yacyshyn was honored by Haskell-Wyeth with its 2019 Corporate Leadership Award in recognition for his work that has spanned four decades.

Matt Stehl has been appointed as Yacyshyn’s successor and will take on the role of Regional Manager of Charitable Contributions in Delaware. Stehl joins M&T Bank from Highmark Delaware, where he served as Corporate Communications Manager for the past six years. 

Stehl is a graduate of the University of Delaware and serves on the board of directors for several state-wide organizations including the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Delaware Public Media and Philanthropy Delaware.

Former Perdue exec joins SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate

SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate announced the addition of Steven A. Evans to the SVN|Miller Commercial Real Estate Leadership Team as Director of Brokerage. He has extensive leadership and organizational development experience having spent 39 years in the poultry industry, most recently as President of Perdue Foods.

Santora announces promotions

Santora CPA Group announced the following two promotions:

Victoria M. Stewart, CPA has been promoted to Manager.  She joined the firm in June 2008 after graduating from the University of Delaware with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Accounting and Finance.  Stewart has successfully completed the AICPA’s COSO Internal Control Certificate program.  She is a member of the American Institute and the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Keith A. Delaney, CPA, MBA, CMA, CVA has been promoted to Manager.  Delaney is a 2011 graduate of the University of Delaware with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Accounting and Finance.  He is a member of the American Institute and Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

Rehoboth Beach Main Street names director

Greer Maneval was named Rehoboth Beach Main Street, Inc. Board President. 

She graduated from Penn State with degrees in Architecture / Landscape Architecture. After a successful private design and consulting practice for 27  years in the DC area, she moved to the beach. Greer has been a member of several organizations including the Cape Business Network, the Cottage and Town Awards for Rehoboth Beach Main Street, and was a past President of the Sussex County Genealogical Society.

Delaware College Scholars adds a board member

Delaware College Scholars (DCS) welcomed Heather M. Leberstien  to its Board of Directors.

A senior strategic human resources business partner at CSC,  Leberstien provides talent management services to CSC’s leaders and employees. In her role, she is responsible for building strong and trusted relationships, focused on partnering with the business to provide coaching, organization support, performance management, workforce planning, and talent assessment and development. 

  In addition to her role with Delaware College Scholars, Leberstien is a Professional in Human Resources and a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional.

Bayhealth adds family medicine physician

Bayhealth Primary Care, Eden Hill welcomed family medicine doctor Shailly Saini, MD.

Saini recently completed her family medicine residency at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, part of the Mercy Health System, in Boardman, Ohio. She earned her medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine in St. Kitts. She’s also conducted clinical research at University of Pennsylvania for the Penn Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Center and the Smilow Center for Translational Medicine in Philadelphia.

Unitarian Universalist minister announced

The Rev. Dr. Kharma R. Amos has been hired as the new Minister of the Unitarian Universalists of Central Delaware (UUCD) in Dover. Amos was ordained 17 years ago by the Metropolitan Community Churches, and has served in both Pastoral and Denominational Leadership positions within MCC. 

She received her Master of Divinity degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary (Lancaster, PA) in 2002 and her Doctor of Ministry degree from Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2008.
