Middletown Police arrested two men this week  in connection with a car theft ring that aimed to shipped luxury vehicles overseas.

The  department’s Criminal Investigation Unit acted on  information that an industrial garage on  the 200 block of West Lake Street was being used as location for stolen vehicles that were headed overseas.

During the execution of the warrant Henry Sencherey,39, was seen driving  a 2018 Maserati into the garage. He was taken into custody without incident.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen  in Illinois in April. Also taken into custody was  Rex Agumey,49, who had been  seen  loading  vehicles into a large trailer.

Additional  vehicles recovered  included a 2011 Audi A5 and a 2017 BMW X5, both traced to  stolen vehicle reports from  New Jersey.

Both Sencherey and Agumey were each charged with three  counts of Receiving Stolen Property over $1,500 (Felony) and Conspiracy 2nd.  They were both taken  to Howard Young Correctional Facility after not posting  $8,000 cash bond.
