Chuck Lager America’s Tavern opened over the weekend in Pike Creek.
The restaurant is in a new mixed-use development at 4500 New Linden Hill Road in Pike Creek.
Owners are Top Chef contestant Fabio Viviani, Craig Colby, and Mike Colby. Viviani has more than 30 restaurants around the country, according to Chuck Lager’s public relations agency.
Viviani’s website lists a half dozen restaurants.
The celebrity chef was present for the ribbon cutting held by the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce.
The restaurant had first been announced in the News Journal in January 2018, but experienced several delays.
Chuck Lager offers a variety of fare that includes Italian dishes, sandwiches, and pizza.
The restaurant opens at 5 p.m. and offers a limited number of online reservations.
