Remaining Delaware Sears and Kmart stores survived the latest wave of announced store closings.

The retailer announced additional store closings as the deadline for bids for the bankrupt company approached.

Eddie Lampert, who combined the two companies, submitted a $4.4 billion bid just before a Friday deadline, CNBC and other media outlets reported.

In 2018,  Delaware saw the closing of a Kmart in Newark and Sears stores in Dover and Prices Corner in northern  New Castle County. The Sears Auto Center at Prices Corner remains open.

The Sears store in Salisbury, MD will close in March, WBOC-TV reported.
