Hockessin’s Drip Café has opened its second location in Newark.
The restaurant is located in a newly opened restaurant and student apartment development at 60 North College Ave.
The site, virtually surrounded by the University of Delaware campus, once housed the Down Under night club and a Mexican restaurant.
Drip Café got its start in restaurant space at Lantana Square in Hockessin that had seen various owners,
The café became popular as a breakfast destination specializing in coffee and latched on to the growing interest in brunch.
The Newark location is smaller than the Hockessin space and will have a more limited menu. The Newark Drip Café will feature a few Hockessin favorites including apple caramel pancakes.
