Moore College of Art & Design, Philadelphia and Delaware College of Art and Design signed a new agreement that will allow female students to seamlessly transfer to Moore, a women’s visual arts college, to complete their bachelor’s degree.

According to the agreement, eligible students who complete an associate’s degree at DCAD will enter Moore with third-year (junior level) status for the purpose of enrolling in a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program in one of the following areas/majors:

  • Animation & game arts
  • Fine arts
  • Illustration
  • Graphic design
  • Photography & digital arts
  • Interior design

“Moore College of Art & Design is delighted to launch a new agreement with Delaware College of Art and Design that creates a clear point of entry and pathway into Moore’s Bachelor of Fine Arts programs for DCAD’s associate degree graduates,” said Moore President Cecelia Fitzgibbon. “Moore’s BFA programs are outstanding, and we look forward to welcoming DCAD’s well-qualified and highly motivated transfer students to the Moore College community.”

“Our new 2+2 agreement with Moore College of Art & Design will provide Delaware College of Art and Design’s talented women a wonderful opportunity to continue their education and complete a bachelor’s degree in an environment just as supportive, nurturing and rigorous as DCAD,” college president Jean Dahlgren said.

Dahlgren has been working to raise the profile of the two-year college whose formation was part of early efforts to turn around downtown Wilmington.
