A luncheon on Thursday honored participants in the Meet Me at Home Ambassadors program.

The event is slated to be held Thursday at   Krazy Kat’s at the Inn at Montchanin Village & Spa

The Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau is hosting the luncheon to recognize supporters of its Meet Me at Home Program as part of its week-long celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week.

GWCVB launched the Meet Me at Home campaign in 2017 to bolster its commitment to bring more conventions, conferences and meetings to New Castle County.

Residents, employees and companies in New Castle County who have an existing relationship with a business or professional association, traveling youth sports league, or are planning a wedding or reunion are encouraged to be proactive about bringing their events to New Castle County.

In addition to honoring area Meet Me at Home ambassadors, GWCVB has been busy throughout National Travel & Tourism Week meeting with hotels throughout New Castle County,  hosting a luncheon for the Delaware State Legislators and greeting visitors at the I-95 Visitors Center to say thank you to the tourism community and spread the word about tourism’s value to the county.
