Iron Hill to open 13th location in bustling Greenville, SC

Wilmington-based Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant further expanded their brewery and restaurant portfolio with the opening of their 13th location in Greenville, SC.

The launch is a  part of the company’s   ‘20 by ‘20’ initiative. It marks the first location in a new market for the group. Until now, the company has operated in the Delaware Valley.

Slated to open next is the 14th  brewery in the Rehoboth Beach area

 The newest Iron Hill location at in the  Haywood Mall area is bringing an additional 100 full and part-time jobs to the Greenville region.

The area of South Carolina is booming with BMW investing billions of dollars in its auto plant with tire-maker  Michelin’s U.S. operations also based in the area. Financial services and health care operations are also big employers.

Designed by Boulder, CO-based Bray Architecture, the brewery, and restaurant has 7,500 sq. ft. and has a seating capacity of 250, which includes an on-site brewery, cocktail area, and an outdoor patio. The on-site  brewery will produce between 800 to 900 barrels of craft beer annually. 

 The company differs from many brewpubs by only offering its own craft-brewed products.

Dining fare includes  Brewski Burger ($13.50), Gold Medal Baby Back Ribs ($17.00/$25.00), Char-Grilled Ribeye Steak ($29.00), Baked Chesapeake-Style Crab Cakes ($27.00) and Pan Roasted Organic Chicken ($21.00). Along with signature menu items and craft beer,  Iron Hill will have a daily feature sheet, showcasing chef created dishes using seasonal ingredients.

Iron Hill was founded in Newark and was named after a  Newark landmark that was the site of iron mining in colonial times and into the 19th century.
