Dogfish Head will expand into Nebraska in late February.

“We’re excited to ship our innovative beers to Dogfish Head fans in Nebraska and to begin a great and long-lasting relationship with the beer drinkers, retailers, and distributor partners in the state,” says Dogfish founder and CEO Sam Calagione. “We have our canning and bottling lines pumping out a ton of beer and enough brewing capacity to ensure we can keep retailers well stocked with our well-differentiated family of beers for years to come.”

Dogfish Head is expanding its distribution territory while broadening its offerings that include SeaQuench Ale and Namaste White. Seasonal and limited edition offers will also be available.

The Milton-based brewer has been careful in expanding into new states after being forced to pull back a few years ago, prior to a major expansion of its lone brewery.

Dogfish Head sales were up about 20 percent overall in 2017, with some of that growth coming from states that were added that year, according to industry website Brewbound.

In keeping with previous rollouts, the brewery offered beer  pairing suggestions  for  Nebraska fare.

  • The next time you’re having a Reuben, grab a Bitches Brew. Its prominent dark malt backbone provides a nice complement to the sandwich’s salty corn beef, while its firm bitterness cuts through the creaminess of Russian dressing.
  • 90 Minute IPA is a great brew to pair with cheeseburger pizza. It has enough malt character to balance this filling meal, while its assertive piney and citrusy hops provide a refreshing finish.
  • Try a 60 Minute IPA with cheese frenchees. Its West Coast hop profile cuts the richness of this deep-fried, cheese-filled delicacy without overpowering it like a heavier beer might.
