The Residences at Mid-town, at 9th & Shipley Streets—will be taking applications for employment on Thursday at City Hall in Wilmington.
The Mid-town Job Fair will be held in the lobby of the Louis L. Redding City/County Building at 800 North French Street, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Diversity Business Enterprises and individuals under HUD Section 3 Guidelines are encouraged to attend and apply.
Applications for this project will be available for positions including but not limited to labor, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, millwork, flooring, building cleaning, and lift operator.
The Residences at Mid-town is a project of The Buccini/Pollin Group, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, NCALL (a nonprofit affordable housing organization), the City of Wilmington, the Wilmington Parking Authority and BPGS – the Buccini/Pollin construction management group.
“We want to put people to work,” said Mayor Michael S. Purzycki. “All of us who are supporting this project know that it has and will continue to boost the local economy as well as create jobs for City residents. I urge citizens to get your resume ready and let’s get to work.”
