Techmer to mark opening of new plant in New Castle

State officials, including Gov. Jack Markell,  will mark the opening of the new Techmer ES plant in New Castle on Thursday morning.

They will be joined by Techmer ES Managing Director Tom Drye, as well as employees and customers of Techmer ES.

Techmer has other plants in Tennessee and California.

Techmer ES is a leading producer of engineered thermoplastic compounds used in the plastics industry.

The new plant will open with 60 employees and Techmer ES expects to add another 40 in the next five years.
