Nemours Children’s Health System and UnitedHealthcare have established a new network relationship, the health care system reported.
The agreement gives families enrolled in UnitedHealthcare’s individual and employer-sponsored health plans in-network access to Nemours facilities and physicians in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland, effective October 1.
The agreement does not apply to UnitedHealthcare Medicaid members.
“We are pleased to provide UnitedHealthcare’s commercial health plan members access to our unique, family-focused care model and look forward to helping future generations of Delaware Valley children grow up healthy,” a release from Nemours stated.
The health care provider and the health care system – anchored by Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children – had been without an agreement for two years.
