The co-founders of SevOne are leaving the company.

Vess Bakalov announced his departure from  a post on the business networking site, LinkedIn. The News Journal also announced that his wife Tanya would also leave the company that recently moved from Delaware to Boston.

Bakalov said he would continue to serve on SevOne’s board of directors and advise management.

Vess, who grew up in Newark,  has served as chief technology officer, Tayna has served as chief of staff. The company has had a non-founder CEO for some years. The news was unexpected,  with the SevOne website listing the Bakalov’s as top executives.

The company has been in the news of late over layoffs at Newark and other sites. The exact number of layoffs has not been disclosed, but by some accounts included a large portion of the company’s workforce.
