salem-fll-jan-20161Axalta Coating Systems, a global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, is a sponsor of First State Robotics of Delaware and Miracles of Engineering (MOE) FIRST Tech Challenge team for junior high and high school students.

Axalta will award a scholarship to a deserving robotics team member for his/her dedication, scholastic achievement, and contributions at the 2016 Diamond State FIRST Tech Challenge Championship.

The robotics program allows middle and high school students to experience the power, excitement and fun of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with activities with robots.

Every year, nearly 20,000 students from around the globe participate in FIRST Tech Challenge tournaments. Teams will compete at this weekend’s Diamond State Championship for a chance to qualify for the Northeast super-regional tournament to be held in Scranton, PA on March 18-20.
