Reading Assist wins three awards

Reading Assist Institute received three awards this week at the annual AFP Excellence in Communications Awards, organized by the Brandywine Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

RAI won in the categories of Best Annual Report, Best Video (for “KLOWD: The Story of Reading Assist Institute”), and Best Digital Communications for the re-launched website at www.readingassist.org.

“It’s been an incredible year at Reading Assist, with the launch of the RAI Reading Corps and now this recognition,” said Victoria Innes, executive director of Reading Assist Institute. “This is an organization with an incredible history and a story to tell, and I’m delighted that the ways in which we’ve been telling that story have been recognized by our peers.”

Reading Assist Institute is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Wilmington and Milford, DE. Founded in 1989, it isdedicated to teaching the foundational skills of reading to children with significant academic challenges, empowering them to achieve grade-level proficiency. RAI accomplishes its mission by training volunteers and educators statewide in its specialized, multisensory structured language curriculum.
