Alcohol enforcement agents seize vehicle, cash and liquor in Claymont

Screen Shot 2015-12-13 at 6.25.21 PMA Massachusetts man was charged with alcohol beverage violations after thousands of dollars of liquor was l found in his vehicle.

The Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement was contacted Saturday by the Delaware State Police after a trooper stopped a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban for a traffic violation on Naamans Road in Claymont.

Agents found the passenger compartment was filled with 130 cases of various brands of liquor.

The driver, Kin Fu Wong, 38, of Lawrence, Massachusetts purchased the alcohol at multiple locations in New Jersey and one location in Delaware before being stopped.

Wong was found to be in possession of more than 10,000 in cash.  He was taken into custody and turned over to agents from the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement.

Agents charged Wong with Attempting to Evade Delaware Excise Tax and Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Beverages without a license.

He was later released under a $6,000 unsecured bail.   Agents seized the cash and the 2011 Chevrolet Suburban.
