Tech conference coming in November

Tech artTech2gether 2015 – organized by 1313 Innovation and Digital-Vikings –  will  hold its   second annual conference in the area highlighting local entrepreneurs and startup companies while showcasing emerging technologies and creating opportunities for connections across industries.

The event will take place on Nov. 18th at the World Cafe Live at the Queen, will be an anchor event for Technical.ly Delaware Innovation Week.

The full day event will feature multiple speakers, performers, bands, and demonstrations of emerging technologies. Last year’s event featured discussions from nearly 50 presenters ranging in topics from Wilmington’s emerging innovation sector to applications of wearable technology.

This year’s event aims to draw 800 people to World Cafe Live at the Queen throughout the course of the day. . Tickets for the event will start at $70.

Conference

Featuring presentations and discussions from industry thought leaders, Tech2gether aims to provide opportunities for diverse fields to interact with each other.

Demo pit

Wearable technology, augmented reality, and 3D printing are examples of emerging technologies set to make drastic impacts on our lives. The Demo Pit will connect laypeople with these and more emerging technologies that will shape the future.

Maker Experience

 Innovation is not limited to emerging technologies, but extends to “makers” – technology based builders, artists, and performers. Tech2gether will highlight makers and doers in a performance that will close down a portion of Market St. This portion of the event will be free for the public.

Pitch Competition

 A growing entrepreneurial community needs an outlet to bring its ideas to life. The Pitch Competition aims to connect local university students with investors by awarding the best competitors with seed funding.Concert

Tech2gether concludes with a celebration of innovation and entertainment. World Cafe Live  will host a performance of an up-and-coming band to close the day.
