Stockbridge, Buccini named to Business Leaders Hall of Fame

M&T Bank and Junior Achievement of Delaware announced that Rob Buccini, co-founder and co-owner of The Buccini/Pollin Group, and Gary R. Stockbridge, president of Delmarva Power Region of Pepco Holdings Inc., will be honored as the newest laureates at the of the Delaware Business Leaders Hall of Fame,  along with Lifetime Achievement honoree, Peter C. Morrow.   Morrow’s Lifetime Achievement award was  announced earlier.

Buccini is the co-founder of The Buccini/Pollin Group, a real estate investment, development, and management firm, and leads the company’s office, residential, retail, parking, sports, and entertainment development activities.  The company now has $4 billion in holdings.

In addition to his duties with The Buccini/Pollin Group,  Buccini is a co-founder and co-owner of the Philadelphia Union Major League Soccer team, and serves as chairman of the Wilmington Housing Partnership. He also is a member of the Board of Directors for the Vice President of the United States Residence Foundation, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for both Delaware State University and Christiana Healthcare Systems.

Stockbridge has more than 25 years of utility experience, much of which has been focused on enhancing customer service for the regional company that has more than two million customers.

During his career,  Stockbridge has worked in operations, marketing, government affairs, and customer care in both the regulated and competitive energy fields. His experience includes development of processes for the introduction of retail choice,  billing system performance, and enhancing communication to customers. He was responsible for the start-up of retail energy affiliates for both Conectiv and Peco Energy.

Stockbridge  and works with various local organizations. He currently serves as Board President for the Kingswood Community Center in Wilmington, and is a former board chair and active classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement of Delaware.

In 2010, Stockbridge was named chairman of the Delaware Workforce Investment Board. The board helps coordinate job training.

The laureates will formally be inducted into the Delaware Business Leaders Hall of Fame on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Junior Achievement of Delaware’s 26th annual induction ceremony at the University of Delaware’s Arsht Hall. Tickets will go on sale around Labor Day.
