Chase_01Chase announced the opening of its first local Middle Market Banking Office in Wilmington to serve mid-sized businesses and institutions across the state.

Keith Kepplinger has been hired as a commercial banker in the Wilmington office, which will offer credit, cash management, capital markets and corporate finance advisory solutions to businesses with $10 million to $500 million in annual sales.

“Our local delivery model, coupled with the firm’s global resources, allows us to provide clients with customized, comprehensive solutions and exceptional service,” said Mark Schrieber, executive director of Chase Middle Market Banking in Pennsylvania, Delaware and southern New Jersey. “More than half of U.S. publicly traded companies and 64% of the Fortune 500 make Delaware their home[i] and opening a Middle Market Commercial Banking office in Delaware was the next step in our firm’s commitment to operations in the state.”

Kepplinger joins Chase from M&T Bank Corporation where he was a Middle Market Relationship Manager in Wilmington.

He is an active member of the local community, serving as a board member of the Easter Seals of Delaware & Eastern Maryland Shore, and as a member of the Wilmington Rotary.

Kepplinger relocated to Delaware in 2013 to be closer to family.

Before that, he had been a Portfolio Manager for Branch Banking & Trust (BB&T). He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from John Carroll University and a master’s of business administration with a concentration in financial management from North Carolina State University.

“As a resident of Delaware, I’m looking forward to bringing the best-in-class products and services of Chase and J.P. Morgan to the businesses of this great state,” Kepplinger said.

With more than 8,500 employees in Delaware, JPMorgan Chase & Co. is the second-largest private employer in the state.

Employees in the state work in every business line of JPMorgan Chase & Co., and the firm’s credit card business, one of the largest in the country, is headquartered in Wilmington.

The company has facilities in several locations across northern Delaware and will open a new facility just north of Wilmington in late 2015. The site formerly served as the South Campus for AstraZeneca.
