New Castle County Police are warning residents about recent thefts in New Castle County.
Officers are currently investigating eight thefts of tailgates from pick-up trucks. The thefts were first reported earlier this month.
Owners of pick-up trucks are encouraged to lock their tailgates or invest in tailgate locking mechanisms to discourage would be thieves. The investigation has revealed that thieves are targeting all years, makes and models throughout New Castle County.
