NJ.com reported the filing in Delaware is the result of internal disputesLocations are expected to stay open. Saltworks as a half dozen locations in the Dover, Newark, Middletown, Wilmington and Bear areas in Delaware.

The company, based near Philadelphia, has been undergoing  a dispute between investor Vernon Hill and founder John Scardapane. Hill was the founder of Commerce Bank, which was acquired by TD Bank after he resigned from the company.

Hill, even while serving as  CEO of Commerce had interests in the fast food industry.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the company has not been able to expand, due to the dispute.
