Delaware Business Daily and the Business Bulletin  has decided to drop a book of lists project.

Colorado-based Data Joe, with the OK  of the Business Daily, last year agreed to partner with the newly launched Delaware Business Times, to launch a book of lists. The publication has indicated the list will be released in 2015.

Data Joe works with research departments of business journals and other media outlets to produce high quality data. The company’s aim is to provide a solid research platform to sell and manage data.

“It was clear that Today Media, with its resources and a  print background, was a better fit in bringing this product to Delaware,” said Doug Rainey, chief content officer for Bird Street Media, publisher of DelawareBusinessDaily.com and the weekly Business Bulletin.  “Our analysis indicated a print product would distract us from our digital first approach and divert resources that could better be used to build a compelling daily business news presence that serves the immediate needs of  business owners and managers in Delaware.”

Rainey was the founding editor of the Business Ledger  and spread headed Delaware’s First Book of Lists, which was published in full form for about a decade.
