The Taste of Newark was held Sunday under sunny skies and summer-like temperatures.

The late September event featured  small dishes  from  four dozen restaurants, as well as wine offerings. Another highlight was a battle of  local chefs.

The event was founded by former Mayor Vance Funk and was chaired this year by Funk and  Mayor Polly Sierer.
