Lightwave Logic raises $3 million

Lightwave Logic, Inc., a  company working on development  applications in high speed fiber-optic data communications and optical computing, announced  that the company has completed  its capita raising effort  with the sale of common stock and warrants to further fund its operating and R&D expenses.

The company was founded in Newark and moved its headquarters to Longmont, Colo. The company retains a research operation near Newark.

Tom Zelibor,   CEO  of Lightwave Logic commented, “We are extremely pleased to have successfully raised over our targeted $3 million that will fund our business plan through 2015.  The tremendous support and vote of confidence by investors is greatly appreciated by the entire company.  These funds will be used for research and development, general corporate purposes and to further the commercialization effort for our advanced organic nonlinear electro-optical polymer technology platform.”
