[new_royalslider id=”99″]Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc. continues to add real estate agents as it works to whittle away at the No. 1 market share of Patterson-Schwartz Real Estate in Delaware.

The firm recently added the Prein Eiermann Group to its Greenville office in Greenville, Del. Joining Long & Foster as sales associates are team leaders West Prein and Marian Eiermann, as well as Rob Cardone, who will be part of their team.

This follows the decision by a number of real estate groups to affiliate with Long & Foster, including the nearly two-dozen agent Mottola Group, which also came over from Patterson-Schwartz.

“We’re thrilled to welcome West, Marian and Rob to our team of highly trained real estate professionals,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “As the No. 1 brokerage in the Mid-Atlantic region, Long & Foster operates with an agent-first mentality. We look forward to the energetic partnership that West, Marian and Rob have created by deciding to join the industry-leading Greenville office and our company.”

Scott has stated that the company’s goal is to take the No. 1 market share spot in the state. Eiermann, a real estate professional since 1995, comes to Long & Foster from Patterson-Schwartz where she and Prein were top producers. She specializes in corporate relocation and residential real estate, often working with move-up and first-time home buyers in New Castle County, southern Chester County and western Delaware County.

Eiermann earned her broker’s license in the state of Delaware in March 2014, and she’s licensed in Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Prein, who’s been in real estate since 2002, specializes in residential real estate sales and investment properties, and he often assists first-time home buyers, move-up buyers and individuals who are 55 and older in New Castle County, southern Chester County and western Delaware County. He is licensed in both Pennsylvania and Delaware. He lives in Chadds Ford, Pa., with Eiermann—his life partner.

Both Prein and Eiermann are active in their community, and they volunteer for and support the Unionville Chadds Ford Education Foundation and School District.

Cardone, who is a graduate of the University of Delaware, worked in financial services for 14 years before transitioning to a real estate career in 2006. He is licensed in Delaware and Pennsylvania, and comes to Long & Foster from Patterson-Schwartz. Cardone lives in Wilmington with his wife and two children.

“Long & Foster continues to lead the way with cutting-edge tools and technology, which attracts top real estate professionals such as West, Marian and Rob,” said R.T. Christopher, manager of Long & Foster’s Greenville, Del., office. “I’ve spent much of my career working side-by-side with the Prein-Eiermann Group, and I am thrilled to welcome them to Long & Foster as we continue to help Delaware and Pennsylvania area buyers and sellers reach their home ownership goals.”

Both Christopher and Scott are former executives at Patterson-Schwartrz, which has long held the top spot. Christopher is the son of now-retired Patterson-Schwartrz CEO Richard Christopher. Long & Foster is believed to have moved into the No. 2 slot, ahead of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox and Roach.

Berkshire, a part of a conglomerate controlled by investor Warren Buffett, acquired the Pennsylvania-based company.

Both Berkshire and Patterson-Schwartz have launched new advertising campaigns, with Patterson-Schwartz emphasizing its local roots and familiar lantern logo.

Last year, Patterson-Schwartz made another foray into Long & Foster’s stronghold in Sussex County with a new office in the Rehoboth Beach area. It also named Chester County-based Customers Bank as its mortgage provider. Privately held Long & Foster is the largest independent real estate company in the nation. It is based in northern Virginia.
