Four Philadelphia men  have been indicted on charges of robbing a Wilmington store of more than $4.4 million.

According to a copy of the indictment, Darrell Williams, David Story, Rufus Lawson and Willie Hawkins Smith took more than $4.4 million in jewely in the armed robbery at Stuart Kingston on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Items taken included a Liberty Bell Ruby valued at more than $2 million in the robbery in early November of 2011. The robbery was featured in a segment of the TV show, “America’s Most Wanted.”

According to the indictment, the defendants made elaborate preparations for the heist that included renting a van and stealing a New York state license plate to elude police. A rented car was also used for a lookout.

The federal indictment was obtained because jewelry was taken across state lines.
