Fulton Financial is closing 14 branches, including one in Lancaster County, as part of a cost-cutting program that will save $8 million.
Fulton is closing six branches in Pennsylvania, five in Maryland and three in New Jersey by the end of the second quarter.
Fulton has a relatively small market share in Delaware and does not have a lot of overlap in branches.
Bank branch closings may be on the horizon at a number of institutions as more people turn to remote deposits via smartphone and other technology.
