Capriotti’s moves into Houston area
The sandwich shop chain is moving into the Houston area with its first of three planned restaurants opening in Sugarland, Texas, Capriotti’s was founded on Union Street in Wilmington. It is now based in Las Vegas as it expands nationwide.
“With three shops in Dallas, Capriotti’s is developing a loyal fan base in the Lone Star state, which we look forward to continuing with our first ever Houston shop,” said Ashley Morris, CEO of Capriotti’s.
“As a Delaware native, Capriotti’s has walways had a special place in my heart,” said Bryan Burnett, Capriotti’s franchisee. “I look forward to sharing my hometown favorite with Houstonians for the first time.”
The store is open seven days a week and stays open until 10 p.m. During most days of the week. Delaware stores typically close at 8 p.m., a long-running tradition with the company.
Founded in 1976, Capriotti’s has been named one of the “10 Great Places for a Surprising Sandwich” by USA Today.
The company now has more than 80 stores nationwide. The largest concentrations of stores are in Las Vegas. A recent target for growth is the Washington, D.C. area.
