The New Castle County Chamber announced that it has named Clint Walker, General Counsel at Barclaycard U.S., the winner of the annual Dr. Wallace M. Johnson Community Service Award. Walker  received the award at the chamber’s Annual Dinner on Monday,.

Walker’s pro bono legal and financial counsel has benefitted adults with mental health problems, cancer patients, low-income individuals, local youth sports teams and residents of disadvantaged neighborhoods. Last year, Walker helped lead efforts to raise $55,000 for Prestige Academy, a Wilmington charter school dedicated to educating disadvantaged youth. In 2010, he helped raise $30,000 to construct an adaptive outdoor playground for Exceptional Care for Children, a skilled nursing care facility that treats critically ill and fragile children.

“Clint Walker embodies the spirit of this award,” said New Castle County Chamber of Commerce President Mark Kleinschmidt. “He epitomizes selfless service and has positively touched so many parts of our community. We are very excited to award him this well-deserved recognition.”
