The Wilmington law firm of Connolly, Bove, Lodge and Hutz has seen the departure of members of its commercial litigation unit.
Delaware Law Weekly first reported in early August of the possible split and The News Journal reported on Thursday that 21 attorneys had left the firm to form Connolly and Gallagher.
The new firm will be based in the Brandywine Building in downtown Wilmington, according to the newspaper, which reported that the parting was amicable.
Connolly, Bove had expanded in recent years in the intellectual property area, opening offices in Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Newark, Del.
