WDDE announces on-air hosts

    WDDE has announced its  on-air hosts when the state’s only public radio station goes on the air this month.

    WDDE, at 91.1 FM, is based in Dover. It’s signal covers  a portion of Delaware. The station will also be available for online streaming.

    Susan Geary will be the local host of “Morning Edition.” She was   at WVTF-FM in Roanoke, Va. She brings more than 20 years of broadcast experience to WDDE, including her work as a news reporter, producer, and anchor at radio stations in Phoenix, Flagstaff, Denver, and Lafayette, La.

    She managed television network news teams in Denver, covering the Columbine shootings . Geary is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a degree in broadcasting.

    Joseph Leahy will serve as host on afternoon drive time as WDDE’s local “All Things Considered” host. At St. Louis Public Radio, Joseph served as a producer, anchor, and reporter, covering spot news and feature stories.

    Leahy is a University of Missouri graduate who spent several years in Boston before returning to his home state. He earned his master’s degree in print and multimedia journalism from Emerson College and served as a communications intern at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
