Christine O’Donnell –  the  former Republican U.S. Senate candidate from Delaware, whose primary upset of  Cong. Mike Castle and flirtation with witchcraft  made national headlines –  is organizing  Troublemaker Fest at an IMAX theater two blocks from the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The forum is the site of  the Republican Convention.

The event, slated for Aug. 26-30, will overlap with the Aug. 27-30  convention, ABC News reported.

The  event is being billed on its website as  a “a political youth-outreach that will empower and inspire young, independent patriots to stop Barack Obama’s second term.”  O’Donnell lost her Senate bid to Democrat Chris Coons and helped preserve a slim  Democratic majority.

O’Donnell was also on CNN Monday morning to promote the event and took note of what she said was  a successful launch of the event on her Twitter page.

In the meantime, her activities were the subject of controversy in the conservative blogosphere. According to a posting in American Thinker,  O’Donnell is  accused of  stealing an idea for a possible  reality TV show featuring  Occupy and Tea Party individuals. According to the post, she is working with Current TV, a network  associated with Tea Party nemesis and former Vice President Al Gore.
