The  Delaware Valley Marcellus  Association  is hosting a  quarterly meeting on Sept. 6 at the Union League of Philadelphia.

The 8 a.m. breakfast meeting will feature a panel discussion on economic, environmental and regulatory matters related to the natural gas now flowing from the formation in northern and western  Pennsylvania.

The association’s second event, “Doing Business in the Marcellus,” will include presentations of possible Marcellus-related reuse of the Marcus Hook refinery near the Delaware state line and a look at the economic impact of the industry.

The gas discoveries have lowered natural gas prices, but have also led to concerns over the environmental impacts.

The association was formed in May by the law firm of Duane Morris, advertising firm Gregory FCA and accounting and consulting firm KPMG.
