Wilmington will see its first cash mob on Friday. With $15 in hand, members of a community shop in a locally-owned establishment to support the area economy. Participants meet afterward to network at a local bar or restaurant.
Those wishing to participate will meet at the Delaware College of Art & Design on the 600 block of Market Street at 6 p.m. Those spending the $15 at the store will recieve $10 in Chelsea Bucks to be redeemed at Chelsea Tavern after party.
Sponsors would like to see the Cash Mob become a monthly event.
