Burglar makes off with safe from Newark restaurant (video, photos)

Newark Police are investigating a burglary on May 20th, at around 5:30 a.m. at the Applebees in Suburban Plaza, off Elkton Road. During this incident a white male suspect gained entry to the closed restaurant, and once inside, removed a safe containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 6 feet tall with brown hair. The suspect is wearing a gray short sleeve shirt, blue jeans, dark shoes and black gloves. It is believed the suspect fled the scene in a dark colored two door vehicle.
