Delaware Small Business Chamber announces awards program

UnknownThe  Delaware Small Business Chamber  will  honor its top members.

This year, the process will include not only having the popular online voting but some of the awards will be voted on by a panel of judges not affiliated with the  chamber.

The group will also name its first Member/Ambassador of the Year award for 2015.

Award criteria

  • Must be a current member in good standing with The Chamber.
  • Show stability or growth in sales, services and/or number of individuals served and/or expanded programs and services.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrate commitment to employee support and development.
  • Demonstrate corporate citizenship and/or community leadership.

  • February 19, 2016: Nomination Submission Deadline
  • End of February 2016: Nominees Announced
  • 2 weeks in March TBA: Award Voting Period-April 7 , 2016: DSBC Blue Ribbon Awards Brunch & Ceremony at Executive Hall

Categories:

Best Restaurant of the Year:  Awarded to a restaurant in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional food, substantial growth or community involvement.

Community Involvement award:   Awarded to a company who donates time, talent or money to non-work related endeavors that expressly support the spirit and growth of the Delaware & Surrounding Community.

Customer Service of the Year:  Awarded to a company who demonstrates excellence in customer service.

Emerging Business of the Year (new business less then 2 years old):  Awarded to a new business owner in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary service, excep- tional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Franchise of the Year:  Awarded to a franchise owner in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Home Based Business of the Year:  Awarded to a business owner who works out of their home that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary ser- vice, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Non Profit Award of the Year Awarded to a non-profit business that offers outstanding benefit and contributions to the community, providing a much-needed service with measurable outcome of results.

 Best Retail:  Awarded to a business with a store front in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Best Veteran Owned:   Awarded to a veteran owned business in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Best Service Related Business:   Awarded to a business in the service industry in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Best Marketing:  Awarded to a business owner in our region that shows excellence with their Marketing Campaign and one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Best Website:   Awarded to a business owner in our region that shows excellence with their website design and mobility of site and in one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Best Woman Owned:  Awarded to a business owned by a women in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary ser- vice, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Best Man Owned:   Awarded to a business owned by a man in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Best Young Professional:   Awarded to a business that is owned by a young professional that is under 35 in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Most Memorable Member:  Awarded to a member of the DSBC that has been the most memorable to others in our region that shows excellence in one or more of the following – exemplary service, exceptional product, substantial growth or community involvement.

Employee Awards
Administrative Support Person:  Someone that works in your office, i.e. clerical, accounting etc. that you would like to recognize for their continued support with your business
