Wilmington Mayor Dennis Williams joined Councilwoman Hanifa Shabazz and Martin Hageman, executive director of Downtown Visions, to celebrate the opening of 10 start-up businesses as part of the Delaware Economic Development Office’s (DEDO) Project Pop-Up program.
Project Pop-Up gives entrepreneurs an opportunity to open their business in a commercial space, rent free for three months during the holiday season. This year, all Project Pop-Up businesses are minority or female owned, a first in the program’s three year history.
“Project Pop-Up represents an opportunity for the City to transform vacant spaces into vibrant retail establishments,” said Williams. “These retail shops will offer customers new retail options in downtown Wilmington.” Pop-Up Businesses listed in a city release:
Cherne’ Altovise Jewelry
Dolley’s Sweet Cakes

MIZ INK men’s image consulting
