Cohen keynote speaker at State Chamber dinner

David Cohen will be the keynote speaker at the 177th Delaware State Chamber of Commerce Dinner on Jan. 13,The event gets under way  at 4:45 p.m.  at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.

Cohen is the Executive Vice President of Comcast Corp., the majority owner and manager of NBCUniversal.

Before  coming to Comcast in July of 2002,  Cohen served as a partner in and Chairman of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, one of the 100 largest law firms in the country. A Democrat, he  is a powerful figure in Pennsylvania politics and also  chairs the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania.

The  annual event attracts up to 1,000 business leaders. The  highlight of the night  is the presentation of the Josiah Marvel Cup, the annual award that honors a Delawarean who has made an outstanding contribution to the state, community or society. Cost is $250 for members and $275 for non-members.
