South KoreaThe United States-Korea Free Trade Agreement (KORUS FTA) was put into effect on March 15, 2012, allowing for an abundance of new opportunities for U.S. businesses to export goods, services, and agricultural products to South Korea. Since then, this agreement has been recognized as the United States’ most commercially significant FTA in almost 20 years.

It is estimated that by 2017, almost 95 percent of all bilateral trade with consumer and industrial products will become duty free, ultimately leading to a $10 billion annual increase in exports to Korea.
