Celebrity chef Robbie Jester to oversee Deep Blue at Kitty Night restaurant operations

Owner Jamestown Hospality reports that Robbie Jester will oversee the culinary operations at Deep Blue at Kitty Knight in Georgetown, MD, west of Middletown and south of Elkton.

Jester was born and raised in nearby Galena and is best known for his appearances on Netflix’s Pressure Cooker, Guy’s Grocery Games, and Beat Bobby Flay. Jester has also been a leading figure on the Delaware culinary scene.

“From the time I was a kid and would hear the stories of when my dad ran it, to enjoying it and its unbelievable view as an adult, I’ve always loved this restaurant,” said Jester. “I’m beyond excited to get started with the team here and highlight all the things I love about Eastern Shore food. I’m eager for the chance to reignite the enduring history and charm of Kitty Knight. It feels like home.”

Jester’s career career spans various local restaurants and establishments such as DuPont Country Club, Hotel DuPont, and Piccolina Toscana. He has also been involved in initiatives like the Delaware Restaurant Association ProStart Program and Project New Start.

His career also included High 5 Hospitality at its now-closed Stone Balloon Ale House in Newark. He was also involved in the company’s Limestone BBQ venture. More recently, he has been a partner in Pizza Mariana in Newark and has been holding dinner events around the area.

Jamestown was founded as a venture of a painting and contracting company and includes Wilmington’s Tonic Seafood & Steak, Park Café,  Jamestown Catering Company, Deep Blue at Kitty Knight in Galena, MD, and Giordano’s of Kennett Square, PA.
