i.g. Burton Auto Group acquired of CF Schwartz Toyota in Dover. It comes after the acquisition of a long-time Newark Jeep, Chrysler, Ram dealership.
The dealership is now known as i.g. Burton Toyota of Dover.
Terms were not disclosed. Toyota dealerships are highly prized due to the wide range of vehicles produced by the world’s largest automaker. Toyotas come with a reputation for reliability, which can command higher prices and the potential for less haggling.

Burton has an inventory of more than 12,000 new and used vehicles across 11 automotive franchises.
The Burton Auto Group has a 115-year history in southern Delaware and has been expanding in the region as the number of non-group dealerships has decreased.
Two other Delmarva dealership groups, Hertrich and Preston, have also been aggressive about buying out dealers in the region. The dealerships have benefited from a smaller television market in Delmarva that offers more affordable advertising to build their brands, one example being the Preston “frog.”
Preston moved north with the purchase of the former Brandywine Jeep, Dodge, Ram dealership.
