3 charged, 2 at large following probe into drug selling at New Castle motel

Delaware State Police charged three men, with two at large, following a probe into drug activity at a motel in the New Castle area.

Charged were Joshua Marando, 32,  of New Castle, Marques Robbins, 32,  of Wilmington and William Hallman, 35, also of New Castle.

According to a release, detectives began investigating the Best Night Inn on West Avenue in June after reports that drugs were being sold by motel staff members and security. Detectives went on to identify Joshua Marando, Marques Robbins, William Hallman, Davahne Davis, and Jose Trinidad.

On Dec. 13, members of the Drug Unit, Governor’s Task Force, and Troop 2 Patrol executed search warrants at the motel, where they located and took into custody Marando, Robbins, and Hallman. Detectives found heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and firearms, a release stated. Marando, Robbins, and Hallman were taken to Troop 2, where they were charged with multiple crimes.eace Court 11, and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $22,000 cash bond.

The Delaware State Police are continuing their investigation as Davis and Trinidad remain at large for felony offenses.
