2 charged with taking air-conditioning equipment from Concord Pike office building

The Delaware State Police arrested Michael Napolitano ,48  and Ronald Ruthardt, 60,  both of Wilmington after a report of men taking air-conditioning equipment.

On Monday at around 2:12 a.m., troopers were called to an office building on the 2900 block of Concord Pike and found the two men, later identified as Napolitano and Ruthardt, taking apart an air conditioning unit. Upon spotting the troopers, Napolitano fled on foot while Ruthardt remained at the scene and was taken into custody.

Troopers and K9 Chico searched the area and found Napolitano hiding in the neighborhood behind the business. He was taken into custody without incident.

Napolitano was released on a $4,500 unsecured bond and Ruthardt was released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
