The Tech Council of Delaware is unveiling a new name, logo, website, online platform, and membership packages.

Formerly known as the Delaware IT Industry Council, the group hosted a launch event late last month.

While the Council has a new name, a release stated that the organizational goals remain the same.

  • – Build and expand an inclusive tech talent pipeline in Delaware
  • – Create a strong tech ecosystem in Delaware
  • – Strengthen Delaware’s position and perception as a tech hub.

The council is led by its inaugural Executive Director, Zakiyyah Ali, who joined the council in January 2022. Ali was the Senior Director of Workforce Development for the City of Philadelphia, where she led the city as Model Employer initiative, a municipal career pathway program. She also worked on other workforce and economic development initiatives.

Council memberships offer multiple benefits including committee participation, access to tech jobs data and analysis, member discounts, and access to a Career Center where members can post or apply to tech jobs and training programs. Additional benefits, including access to workforce services, are tailored for each of the different member types, according to a release. For more information, visit techcouncilofdelaware.org
