The Delaware Department of Transportation announced overnight closings for I-95 between Routes 1 and 273 as work continues on demolishing an old overpass that was replaced by a new structure.
The work has led to reports of loud noises in surounding neighorhoods.
There will be lane restrictions and closures on northbound and southbound I-95 between Route 1 and Route 273. The road closures will be in place on weeknights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Lane restrictions can start up to two hours before the actual closure.
– Monday, February 6th, southbound I-95 will be closed.
– Tuesday, February 7th, northbound I-95 will be closed.
This work is weather dependent. Motorists are asked to use caution and expect minor delays moving through the area. Detour routes will be posted.
