President Joe Biden will pay a brief visit to Delaware beginning Friday night after first flying to Philadelphia.

Biden will be in Philadephia for a meeting of the Democratic National Committee.

A revised advisory indicates that flight restrictions around his Greenville area home will be in place into Saturday.

Biden’s schedule calls for the President to fly out of Wilmington-New Castle Airport to Syracuse, NY for a visit to a “local stop.” He will then travel to Camp David in the Maryland mountains for the remainder of the weekend.

The President and First Lady rarely make public appearances and stay near their home. Jill Biden did venture out on Sunday to see the Philadelphia Eagles blow out the hobbled San Francisco 49ers and win the NFC title.

A strong jobs report and the lowest jobless rate in more than half a century was reported on Friday and provided a morale booster for the administration that now faces the prospect of nonstop investigations by the GOP-controlled House.

The president praised the economic progress made during the Biden-Harris administration and was expected to repeat that theme at the DNC meeting.

At the same time, the economic news is a mixed blessing since it means the Federal Reserve will not take its foot off the brakes in raising interest rates in a bid to stem inflation.

Recent reports have shown moderation in inflation. However, necessities, like eggs, have seen soaring prices.

Meanwhile, a trip to China was postponed after a so-called weather balloon was spotted over the U.S.

The administration also took issue with soaring oil company profits, claiming that the petroleum giants are pocketing the proceeds rather than investing in additional production. Gas prices are down from their peak but remain above year-ago levels.

The companies justify their actions, noting that the gains came after a long period of declining results.
